The Adventures of Alex: Missouri State Convention!

State Conventions are mass pandemonium! Hundreds of people standing in alphabetical order to get their awards. Nervous stomachs twisting as CDE results get closer and closer. Thundering music signaling that the session is just about to begin.

But only one convention has a fuzzy tiger named Truman that repels in from the ceiling!

I spent four days in the Show Me state on the campus of Mizzou with 16 passionate individuals who have been serving over 24,000 Missouri FFA members with everything they’ve got. Their message:
Show Me the YOU in Blue!

Samantha, Clayton, Lauren, Megan, Meredith, Shari, Elizabeth, Taylor, Paige, Kelsie, Elizabeth (there are two), Brendon, Mandy, Jennifer, Matt and Walter – you should be proud of the lives you’ve touched this year and the first-rate convention you hosted. I’m blessed to have met you!

Convention concluded with the installation of new officers: Jon, Austin (Austy), Mareta, Colton, Nancy, Sarah, Christopher, Rachel, Kerry, Jessica, Sonja, Erin, Quaid, Tiffany, Austin, Michelle and Samantha! They are a committed, enthusiastic group that has BIG plans for Missouri FFA this year.

Here’s a photo journal of their journey and my amazing visit to Missouri!!
